Cesar Martin joined New Mexico Community Capital in June 2026 as Fiscal Manager. A New Mexico native, Cesar brings more than 22 years of experience in higher education, with a professional background spanning business office operations, purchasing, and legal services.

In his role at NMCC, Cesar supports the organization’s financial operations by tracking budgets across multiple fiscal areas, managing backend accounting functions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with established standards and regulations. He also oversees awarded grants and contracts, helping ensure that financial resources are managed responsibly and effectively.

Cesar was drawn to NMCC’s focus on creating greater access to knowledge, resources, and capital while supporting Native entrepreneurs and communities in building sustainable economic futures.

Cesar holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from New Mexico Highlands University. His experience across different areas of higher education administration has given him a practical, detail-oriented approach to financial management, compliance, and organizational operations.
