Target Company Characteristics
Overview
The Company must be a business with its principal office and a majority
of its full-time employees located in New Mexico.
Preferred Company Characteristics
We look for the following characteristics in the companies in which we seek to invest:
- Employs at least 5 employees
- Has been in operation for at least two years
- Has sales of not less than $500,000 for the previous twelve months
- Has a pattern of sustained revenue growth
- Has been cash flow positive for at least one year
- Is managed by people that have demonstrated operating expertise and a material investment in the business
- Is committed to providing a superior workplace environment
- Has adopted elements of independent governance or be willing to adopt independent governance mechanisms.
Social Characteristics
We will consider the following social and environmental issues when making final investment decisions:
- Will the Fund's investment increase applicant's permanent, full-time employment?

Does the applicant's product or service:
- Make a positive impact or reduce negative impacts on the environment?
- Increase the health and/or safety of the community?
- Increase the level of locally produced products available in the community?
- Will the business improve the wealth of the community?
Industry Considerations
We will be targeting these industries for investment:
- Light Manufacturing
- Consumer Products
- Sustainable Energy & Environmental Improvement
- Food Processing/Organic Foods
- Tourism & Artisan-focused Products and Services
- Consumer and Business Services
These industries will not be targeted for investment:
- Real estate focused deals
- Single location retail businesses
We are prohibited from investing in these industries:
- Gambling operations
- Liquor Stores
- FCC Regulated entities
- Race Tracks
- Companies which are primarily financial service organizations
