Following the Hearst Foundations’ quarterly board meeting executive director Paul “Dino” Dinovitz, announced grants for four nonprofit organizations in the state.

The Lensic Performing Arts Center, Santa Fe, $50,000 to support educational programming for young people.

National Dance Institute of New Mexico, Santa Fe, $100,000 to help match a $250,000 challenge from the Frank D. Gorham, Jr. and Marie K. Gorham Charitable Foundation to support educational programming as part of the Campaign for Albuquerque.

St. Vincent Hospital Foundation, Santa Fe, $50,000 to support the Palliative Care Program.

In addition to grantmaking, two unique programs are administered and funded by the William Randolph Hearst Foundation:  the United States Senate Youth Program for high school juniors and seniors, and the Journalism Awards Program for undergraduates at accredited schools of journalism.
